Litmus: The World’s Largest Atheist Conference
Because they do not support popular superstitions, including those about God , freethinkers often do not receive the same recognition or acceptance that other groups in today’s society enjoy. But when a few individuals come forward with firm conviction, it inspires those who remain silent or feel isolated. It is essential to show that there are people in this society with scientific and humanistic awareness who oppose, criticize, and expose both religious and non-religious superstitions.
The very existence of such individuals draws public attention and instills courage to face opposition and social isolation. In this way, the festival of freethinkers — Litmus — organized by the reformist movement esSENSE Global , which uncompromisingly exposes religious and non-religious superstitions, celebrates those brave individuals who have stepped forward for rational thinking and critical inquiry in modern Kerala’s history.
Litmus is a vibrant platform for discussions and insightful conversations on key issues shaping society. The 2025 edition of Litmus — the world’s largest atheist gathering — will be held this year at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium , Ernakulam , on Sunday, October 19, 2025, starting at 8:30 AM. Every year, around ten thousand people from across the globe participate in Litmus — a celebration of thought-provoking sessions, critical thinking, and boundless humanism.
A conference of freethinkers filled with questions that raise the ideals of knowledge , humanistic awareness , and equality — along with democratic dialogue — Litmus is coming to our own Kochi to write a new chapter in the history of freethought. Everyone is warmly welcome to be part of history .

Registration
The registration fee for Litmus’25 is ₹350.
Including lunch, the fee is ₹480.
